For several decades I have been painting assemblages of still life objects in oil paint on stretched canvas. In exploring the world of digital tools, I have decided as one project to recreate my objects in 3D space, and then arrange them into compositions, which I then render and print. I use Blender for all modeling, UV creation, and texture painting, Photoshop and Gimp for texture adjustments, and Cycles for the render.
I am an older student at Iowa State University, hoping to complete my MFA in Integrated Visual Arts (exploring both traditional and digital media) by the time I am 65!
