This was a project I decided to set myself over a couple of days. I made a version with Blender Render, but this version is with Cycles, and it looks a lot better. I used 2 seperate scenes for this image. One for the ring, environment etc. and one for the glowing inscription, where I used Blender Render, and compositing.
