Some photos from making of my and my girlfriend stop motion animation project.
We made a doll using:
1. Copper wire (some old one from the 80's that my grandfather found)
2. Epoxy putty to make the bones (in Poland we have Poxylina)
3. To give the doll some weight we used aluminium foil and then wrapped it around with masking tape
4. For the clothes we've made some measurements, then cut it from a t-shirt and a pair of jeans and sew the clothes for doll.
5. Head is made with aluminium foil as basic shape and then finished with polymer clay build on that (FIMO polymer clay). Hair is taken from a store-bought doll.
It was low budget project so for the lights we used two desk lamps ( Pixar styled ;) ) with LED bulbs (40W E14).
Green Screen is made of polypropylene.
You can see that the light may not be enough so we've turned up the ISO setting on our DSRL and still Keylight in After Effects deals with it just fine.
There are some nuts in doll's feet so it can stand on a table when you tighten the screws (do the measurements of the space between the feet and drill the holes first).
