Stasis Pods Final

Photoshop CS5 - Intuos 4 Large - Probably 3-5 hours - custom multi-dot brush for texturing. The name of the game was to paint quickly, establish the right values early on, and work with vibrant hues to build a kind of 'flavour' for the environment. The initial concept was going to be a giant control room with a large vista out onto a series of stasis pods, being moved around on mechanical arms, and some in the control room itself - akin to I Robot and how they kept a few lying around in their offices. But when I struggled with the perspective, I decided to open up the space a bit more, and make it into more of a hangar bay. Unfortunately, I struggled again to properly populate the whole thing, but I did manage to get the stasis pods in, in a way that satisfied me. I wish I could have done more with the rest of the space, but, in the end, I decided I'd achieved the main goal, and the finery would have to appear in another project another time.
