So still learning and plugging away at Blender. Having lots of fun with it. Decided to do the old GONK droid from Star Wars.
Some aspects of it I'm not 100% happy with, eg. the feet needs another look at. Topology is a bit naff in places.
Also the cables is very "stiff." I'm having trouble getting the smoothness of the "curve to mesh" operation to apply the skin modifier to it. I was hoping to keep the bezier handles when applying the modifier, but it seems to only work once I convert the curve to mesh. I did do a "limited dissolve" on the mesh, but the skin still gets applied fairly stiff. Will keep fiddling.
No UV's yet, just modeling.
