Following up the rocket I started the fundamental courses and reached the sci-fi crate modeling.
After failing to fill the crate with coins using particles, I got the Idea to just fill my box with more boxes. I really like how this turned out.
I don't yet understand why there seems to be in cycles this diagonal line of "light" across the scene. There are no more light sources than those 3 spots, I tried switching them off, moving things around and it is always there somewhere, from every angle, but not fixed on one place as you can see in the images, so I don't know. Maybe someone can help me get rid of it?
If not maybe I'll come back to it when I have more knowledge. So far is all new to me, but I still had fun playing around with this crate. The ground is just a plane with a free texture I downloaded from poliigon. When I know more I would also try to make a more realistic ground on my own and improve the light poles, but now my focus was to play around with the crate.
Next stop, the low poly room!
