House made for my end of year project.
Inspired by a pinecone I had sitting on my desk.
It only took about 7 hours to make the house in this six week modeling assignment so I decided I might as well add in grass and trees and post processing ;)
Triangles: 400Million (99% of which is grass)
Texture sets: 2 (grass + leaves) house is procedural
Render time: 2.5 hours (HD 1080, 256 AA samples)
Software: Maya, Blender, Mental Ray, Photoshop.
Anyone looking to learn how to make houses like this I highly recommend signing up to the blender cookie modelling workshop.
