Cycles - 2000 passes
On this version, I got the cutouts on the pommel (finally, after some fiddling with uncooperative booleans). I'd have liked to use the remesh modifier to get rid of the nasty boolean topology but it didn't work too well in this case, so I had to rework it a bit myself.
Also I tweaked the materials all-around and gave the floor some texture...not sure I'm completely sold on that tho, so again I'll take any feedback.
Last thing I need to do is make the cutout around the buttons (not entirely sure how yet) and normal map the chrome one.
