Hi hi :) This was all done in Blender 2.69/7. This is my first attempt to model my own thing. Before this i was still doing coffee mugs and glasses, followed by a pc keyboard and screen and desk. It took me 2 weeks tho. I couldn't find any tutorials on how to build a haul truck. So i sat, and thought very hard.
Trying to stay true to photos and very basic Front & Side view. I decided to start with the sub frame/structure/main frame thing. I guess, because that's where everything is attached to. Axles, suspension, load body... all attach to that frame. After modeling the frame, the load body, axles n wheels followed, then the smaller bits, like suspension and hydraulic lift things. Last i made the cabin.
All n all, my modeling is still messy, plenty of tri's. And my nodes are a mess too :| Slooowly getting there.
