Testing out my results from Kent Trammell's Shader Forge Marble tutorial using a couple of my favorite sculpts from last June. On the right is a dragon in the marble that was the result from the tutorial. On the left is an elephant with a granite texture that I started working on (last June too).
The granite texture is based on techniques I learned in other Shader Forge tutorials. The car paint and brushed metal tutorials provided the foundation for it, but I was never happy with the veining I had in it. The marble tutorial showed me how to add that, and I think this version is much better. It was a bit of a mess changing that out, though, so I might go back and redo that material from scratch so I can properly add it.
Not completely happy with the results of the marble on the dragon, but it's probably just a matter of tweaking the settings to get a better look. The tutorial came at a great time, though, because I was just about to finish (part of) a project it would be perfect for.
