This is part of a model I am attempting to rig. I have used rigify and weight painted the bones in the index finger. When I scale the paddle to bend the finger, the finger starts bending and then shrinking. This is a render of what happens. The weight paint for the third bone is shown and how it begins shrinking. It starts the same size as the other fingers.
Are there any ideas as to why it is doing this, and how to fix it?
