This is the latest page out of my sketch book. I find drawing faces in profile really difficult. But, inspired by Vonn, I decided to work on that.
I can see places that likely need to be tweaked, though overall I'm fairly pleased with my progress. The jaw looks a little odd to me, but it actually does more-or-less match the photograph I used as reference. I suspect, however, I could probably have stood to emphasize the line of the jaw within the shadow via some more reflected light.
The only changes I've made to this image from the original is to apply a bright/contrast filter to make it easier to see the details and to add a sepia overlay just because I wanted some sort of colour other than scan-grey.
