I've been apprehensive to try to create a sculpted character art piece, as it's been a daunting prospect that is far removed from the hard-surface, inorganic poly-modelling things I usually do.
This is pretty early in the process and it has a long way to go. But the face / head has always been the scariest part to do, as it's the focal point that'll make or break the piece. I decided to try to tackle it first after blocking out.
I'm pretty pleased with how it's coming along - thanks in no small part, to Kent and the CGCookie team's instruction :)
