Door I modeled after seeing something like it IRL. While the texturing could use much improvement, the key here was the modeling. I used the new Curly Curves that are part of the Add Curve: Extra Objects add on. (Also took advantage of the Add Bevel/Taper to Curve option and for what shading I did, I used the Principled BSDF) (These are all options in the 2.79 release candidate)
The door I modeled was a little narrower than the one I did here, so some of it is stretched more, but I like the overall look.
