To continue my work with Cycles hair, I descided to on trying my new methods on a pony tail. As you can see, it is pretty complex. I need to model about 6 hair strands in order to get all of the strands to face the correct way and I need to have a seprate particle system for each strand(to be easier to control the children). Hopefully theres someone out there whos also working on hair and is doing it in a simpler way.
I made the pulled hair by displacing the madel using nodes and UV Mapped a hair texture.
