Coming back to Blender after a few months off. Stuck very close to the tutorial image. Using 2.72 so there were a few interface differences. There was a bit of a problem with the defocus compositor node, it simply wouldn't place the focus in the middle of the range, had to go back and render depth of field directly, which required some extra blurring to hide artifacts on the depth-based step. Overall, this was a fun tutorial that taught me a few cool new tricks.
