Cabin in the Wilderness
Another environment art inspired from Days gone lost lake camp or say iron mike’s camp.
Not gonna lie, lost lake camp was really one hell of a outstanding camp was designed by artists in the game. Really love the layout, placement and terrain development.
Aesthetics were more appealing with elevated curves and houses.
So after passing by the camp’s main gate heading straight to the path to a little back of the camp, there is an amazing work done on the scene layout.
That massive mountain in the back covered in snow including trees with appropriate look and feel while multiple cabins here in the camp connected with inter-community small roads or paths making the whole scene feel tick.
I just want to live in such place forever. Period. smiling_face
Assets used: Well this time i used some resources from polyhaven.com, it’s one of my fav and oldest free resources available website. High Quality Assets i used like Boxes, Water Can Compost bags right there near the Cabin.
Transmission lines, Birds i have downloaded from free3d.com back in the day.
I like to observe them doing mischievous stuff haha.
But they do add their significance to the whole scene.
Grass, Trees, Small house, all assets created by me.
I wanted to use Pine trees first as they were completely similar to the game’s aesthetics and composition.
But i had something else in mind with my own version of scene. But i also love the pine version so much.
So i swtiched with differnt look of trees as well as for mountain in the background.
Mountain is created entirely in blender by me.
I like to use quadspinner gaea though but unable to use it anymore because i switched to linux few years ago.
So i got my own techniques to create mountains in blender for environment scenes.
Like anything can stop me to get what i want.
Lighting as always the fresh morning, i enjoy messing with different lighting styles. Just give the assets and i setup the whole scene while laying them off with appropriate lighting.
Really enjoyed working on this one.
Scene Created in Blender 4.2.7.
Rendered in Cycles Rendering Engine.
Compositing done in GIMP.
For GIMP: i’m really impressed with gimp the way it is being developed at epic pace.
It even got non-destructive workflow which is also a massive edition to the whole workflow.
FOSS projects have became so much better with time that it is just way better.
