This stream is part of the June 2018 Class, "Vehicle Modeling with Blender"
When I say "imagine a vehicle" I'll bet a million dollars you're thinking about the exterior. And that's why the exterior is important. It defines everything about a vehicle's visual perception: Style, utility, purpose. This week we're going to build a vehicle exterior based on concepts like building to scale and building from blueprints.
Yeah, thanks. The subdiv was the key for me to understand it.
So subsurf kind of makes non-planar faces planar by subdividing them smoothly
Don't you just love classes?
I see all my mistakes now
🙈
QUESTION: Is it bad at all if quads are not 100% planar? I kinda feel like all quads should be 100% planar, but following some courses, it seems not important.
It is hard to paint a picture with words sometimes
i think if the face is going concave, and the inner face comes trhough
like when you zoom out a lot then the subdevision from the inside is shown on the outside
yah i'll post image later today in thread sorry to derail thread
