QUESTION : Does it's better to create the general shape of my model and cut in it to isolate each piece ? or create directly each piece ?

  • Goose Gosling(n3b)

it would seem that Blender stores one image in memory, then references the same image for each "view". unless you tell blender they are "separate" images explicitly.

  • Peter Dranischnikov(rePete)

panboy, thats why i asked if he tried switching the encoder to x264 or maybe the other way around (In OBS)

    ahh, got it

  • panboy

probably more to do with obs using the gpu

  • Omar Domenech(dostovel)

CURIOSITY: do you remember when yo added a camera in Blender, it was always really zoomed in... how did you solved that?

  • panboy

nah i dont think memory problems are why blender and obs dont get along

  • Jake Korosi(jakeblended)

The problem with cutting up a background plan like that is it becomes harder to get the different images scaled exactly correctly

  • Peter Dranischnikov(rePete)

Think you are thinking in drawcalls. Not sure that has anything to do with RAM.

This stream is part of the June 2018 Class, "Vehicle Modeling with Blender"

When I say "imagine a vehicle" I'll bet a million dollars you're thinking about the exterior. And that's why the exterior is important. It defines everything about a vehicle's visual perception: Style, utility, purpose. This week we're going to build a vehicle exterior based on concepts like building to scale and building from blueprints.
