This stream is part of the June 2018 Class, "Vehicle Modeling with Blender"
When I say "imagine a vehicle" I'll bet a million dollars you're thinking about the exterior. And that's why the exterior is important. It defines everything about a vehicle's visual perception: Style, utility, purpose. This week we're going to build a vehicle exterior based on concepts like building to scale and building from blueprints.

for the edge slide that is
Why not press E after G, G to keep the distance even?
Kitbashing -- taking several separate similar but different objects and methodically placing them with each having a different rotation or placement so to break up the dreaded "copy-paste" duplicated look. Is this a good def?
yeah mmartinlisen to me that seems like it would end up being double the work. Might as well just create them separately to begin with
if your doing it for blender for a single render the speed wont really matter
It depends Martin, if your making the model for a game engine it needs to all be one for speed
If you're not creating this to be imported for a game engine, the mesh doesn't have to be one solid connected piece
thx Jake
I would think it's better to isolate each piece Martin
