    My issue with lighting is that all the units and scale still make no sense to me, on one scene, a 100 will blow away the whole environment, and on another it will barely be visible. I haven't figured how it relates to the overal scale of the scene

    But we still have control over light intensity in Vray. So it comes down to the artist to plug in appropriate intensities so the system knows how to calculate the light - does that make sense?

    As in in doesn't matter how accurate the system calculates if I set the intensity of a digital lightbulb way too bright
