This stream is part of week 2 in the August 2019 Class: "Get Started Building Stuff with Blender 2.8"
Plain gray models can be boring. So we paint them with colors! This is where "textures" work their magic. But before we can paint on our 3D models, we have to layout UVs. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, don't worry. After you watch the texturing chapter and the live event for this week, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
Class Live Stream Schedule: RSVP to get notified when we go live.
- Week 01 - 3D Modeling with Blender 2.8
- Week 02 - UVs and Texture Painting
- Week 03 - Shading and Lighting with Eevee
- Week 04 - Class Wrap
remember 2.8 is still new so dont worry guys
Different scales of the island usually changes their colors
I also have 2.79 installed.
Average Island scale maybe?
Yep, 256x256 render as well.
Maaaybe because I technically also have 2.79 on my PC? Dunno why that would cause a problem but hey worth throwing out there.
You sure you're using your GPU?
That's weird. It's supposed to be faster.
I think is that the UV add a UV coordinate to each vertex, by default (0.0), so with the UV mapping you can have coordinates with a lot of numbers for each vertex and increase the file size, but the effect of this should be negligible I think
@drgnclw Yeah my sanity waiting for it to render. 2.8 seems really slow to me for some reason.
