This stream is part of week 2 in the August 2019 Class: "Get Started Building Stuff with Blender 2.8"
Plain gray models can be boring. So we paint them with colors! This is where "textures" work their magic. But before we can paint on our 3D models, we have to layout UVs. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, don't worry. After you watch the texturing chapter and the live event for this week, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
Class Live Stream Schedule: RSVP to get notified when we go live.
- Week 01 - 3D Modeling with Blender 2.8
- Week 02 - UVs and Texture Painting
- Week 03 - Shading and Lighting with Eevee
- Week 04 - Class Wrap
thank you
Not really, no.
PPaul Haynes Is the UV Map used wisely when the whole sword is one piece?
@theluthier Yes "Teebo" for english speaking people ^^
philip79 ... it also helps to divide the UV map where the texture makes distinct changes ... like the hilt is different from the blade where color is concerned
facepalm*
it was me @theluthier , but I found it by myself by chance befre the stream started
notice how nicely named Kents entities are
philip79 ... you can do it in one piece but it was split to help with the stretching
haha! I made my texture, it's... ok'ish, but it's not appearing when not in texture paint mode... I guess there's some texture assignment to do...
