This stream is part of week 2 in the August 2019 Class: "Get Started Building Stuff with Blender 2.8"
Texturing introduces color to your models but materials make your model appear to be plastic, or wood, or metal, etc. If you're asking yourself "What's the difference", fear not! I will make sure you know the difference by the end of this week.
We will also be exploring the Eevee engine and how it works together with texturing and shading for a realtime workflow.
Class Live Stream Schedule: RSVP to get notified when we go live.

- Week 03 - Shading and Lighting with Eevee
- Week 04 - Class Wrap
[Q] Do you happen to know what's the point of making image textures share data now? if you duplicate the image texture node, it gets the "2" users tag
[Q] I guess my next question is. Once this is all said and done with Eevee will this all output fine to a game engine , like in Unity for example. And would this particular sword cost a lot of processing power with all of this shading/texturing?
ok Rita
When I need certain textures, I always consult my scrapbooks, collections of node trees in screenshots. That way, I get unstuck.
walking dead yuh
Man I always think at walking dead when Kent says "Grime"
It needs a lot more roughness.
ok ttobles
Rita, the police car horns (sirens). I don't know how to use those icons
That's what you meant by horns? aren't those pointy stuff
