Happy Halloween 🎃
Here lies Reginald Clark Spitz.....To celebrate the spookiest month of the [american] year, we're going to sculpt a gravestone!
What You Will Learn
- Booleans to generate a base mesh
- Incorporating text into the mesh
- Sculpting tools like Flatten, Crease, and Scrape to achieve all the weathered, cracked and crumbly details.
- The significance of the name on the gravestone 👻
I am an old-schooled traditional artist, but I cannot teach well and I don't have software skills. Well, I am doing ok in learning scraps of Blender.
Interesting to hear that Jake. I knew they were all about it lately (seemingly out of nowhere). But to hear they based it in the past...interesting
I watch the Flippnormalguys, they're ok, though I think they put "The Industry" at a way higher pedestal than it deserves
Yeah flipped normals, watching them on twitter react to Blender has been like watching somone who doesn't like to be touched receive the biggest bear hug
The past is the past Jake
err
I mean I keep the normals calibrated
I try and avoid making normals in the first place
this timer does not automatically refresh
I've been watching some of FlippedNormals' YouTube videos, but I have mixed feelings about them. They've really put down Blender in the past, but ever since 2.80 came out they're suddenly all excited about it.
