    Take the extrude down

[Q} The lines don't go directly from the arm to that control bank on the chassis. There is some complicated routing in the space behind the swing frame - but like I said, I'll handle all that. :) Kent can end his hoses in that space above the cylinders in the swing frame; there's a bracket with fittings there, that we'll connect to after I model it.

Adrain, rigging looks too much work.

  • Shawn Blanch(blanchsb)

[Q] I was talking about loaing the control handles on the bezier curve. Sorry I don't know the names. Like when you subdivide you get more control handles. Is there a way to add some if you lose them from the bezier curve or just start over of I mess up the bezier.

  • Omar Domenech(dostovel)

[Q] I mean, in the curves option, under Geometry, using the Extrude and Depth options accomplishes the same extrusion without the need of an extra object

  • adrian

    That's your part @ritag

Oh, losing the handles I'm not sure about.

Imagine rigging the backhoe and all its parts. 😱

  • Shawn Blanch(blanchsb)

I have lost those beziers one time when I was doing something and I could not get the control handles back to make the curves happen. Hope that makes sense.

The mega collaboration cannot be stopped ✊

Our 3D backhoe model is progressing quickly toward the final product. Progressing past the initial block out stages, we're starting to finalize the hard-surface pieces of the machine. In part 4, I'd like to cover the creation of hydraulic lines (like I said I would last time), answer any questionable modeling situations like in part 3, and / or simply model in real time for an hour or two. However given that I'm predicting this a month away, these topics are subject to change.
