Buckle up for a LONG project.
Thanks to my kids I've become quite fond of "diggers" over the past couple years. All the complex shapes, hard edges, bolts, hydraulics, tire treads, etc. It's a modelers playground and labyrinth rolled into one.
I'm going to start building a digger - a Caterpillar 434E specifically - as accurately and detailed as I can. The name of the game here is organization, perseverance, and efficiency because most of the shapes are not difficult to build. There's just. so. many. of. them. Which gave me an idea...
Stop! Collaborate and Listen
Why don't we build this thing together? For those interested in following the project, I'm hoping at least a few will participate by modeling certain pieces of the backhoe themselves to be submitted to me for review and incorporation into the final model.

Exactly, Kent!
Perfect
We are going for super duper high fidelity for the model, this is great
YES!
Yeah that snap ring needs to cut into the pin not. So now just make it cut into the pin
Don't need to model that exact shape, that's just an example of a snap ring.
[Q]
@theluthier suggestion, since, about half of the time went into reviews (which in self were great and I do think that it's important and useful, regardless of if one takes part)... to maybe separate that (the submission reviews as a "ministream" if you will, a "midterm" : D and the live workflow I mean, two hour format sort of fitting)?
That purple arm makes me think of eating blueberries.
The pin has a slit in it and that snap ring sits in the slit and is pretty wide so it obstructs the pin from coming out
or with the washer there is a groove in the pin
