Vehicle modeling is pure hard surface modeling. Therefore it's important to be proficient with general polygon modeling techniques. This first week, we're ramping into this particular modeling skillset to prepare us for the vehicle modeling extravaganza to come!
I suppose the modeling concepts are transferable, even if the different tools have different shortcuts and buttons.

Well, not just Waynes courses. Blender fundamentals transfer pretty easily across. In my opinion anyway. You guys are doing great all around.

@theluthier Mmm, maybe on the same level. They both have steep learning curves if you're not familiar with that type of software. I remember my first try with the Duplicate Special I somehow had two duplicates on the same side. That was weird lol.
