I like animation as well Phil, I just feel like I'm going to get rusty on rendering if I go too deep on animation
Modeling concepts are 100% transferrable. When you break down 3D apps, they're all so very similar conceptually.
I think Houdini was made by aliens.
Trust me, Blender doesn't transfer to Houdini.
