This event is part of the August 2018 Class, "Getting Started with 3D Modeling & Blender 2.8"
To kick-off the beginner-oriented Class, we're simply opening Blender 2.8 and getting comfortable with it. We’ve all been there: Opening Blender (or any 3D package) for the first time, gazing at the crazy UI, trying to orbit in the viewport, crying...Ok, maybe you were stronger than me and didn’t cry. But the reality is 3D software is daunting. There’s SO MUCH to digest especially when you’re a beginner.
This stream coincides with the Blender Basics course. We're going to overview Blender and 3D from an absolutely beginner perspective. What is Blender for? What can it do? Wait, this isn’t a juicing seminar?
We’re also going to open the floor, ask me anything (AMA) style, so I can answer all your questions about getting started with Blender.
It's like JayTools, just right click on something and make favourite. Then you can acces it by hitting Q.
right click on any option and 'add to quick favorites'. You can use it Q key
They have nothing against Unreal, and if there's enough demand, maybe they'll make a course for it.
Right-click menu tools to add them to the quick favorites, which is the Q key
I think Quick favorites is 'Q'
Because the resident game dev is most familiar with Unity and not Unreal, plus Unity is a lower barrier of entry than Unreal.
QUESTION: why do you always use blender and unity but not blender and the unreal engine?
How to scale uniformly, everytime I try to scale it goes in a direction only (x, y, z).
You can add it to quick favourites, that might help :)
Hmm that wireframe is weird lol
