This event is part of the August 2018 Class, "Getting Started with 3D Modeling & Blender"
Digital sculpting is the more artistically intuitive method of 3D modeling. If pushing and pulling verts felt like the hard way of doing things, sculpting will be a welcomed alternative!
This stream collaborates with the Fundamentals of Digital Sculpting course. We’ll be discussing/demonstrating the pros and cons of digital sculpting as well as how it compares to mesh modeling. Again, practice makes perfect with any craft, so we will practice sculpting as well. Bring your questions and be sure to have your pen and tablet ready to practice with me!
I still don't understand why some brushes are gathered together, it makes it more complicated to switch
that does look a bit more confortable than the 2.7 setup to me
QUESTION: Can you demonstrate how to sculpt a primitive shape for demonstration?
property bar maybe?
It's literally called the "Top Bar" :)
Subdivisions by Rush, that should've been the stream music theme
Then you can get the divisions to work
Dragonice... click "subdivide" under your multi res modiefier
You can apply details of dyntopo sculpt to multires with shrinkwrap by the way!
Zacharias reinhardt did a sculpt in an early 2.8 with almost no sculpt possibilty. Awesome.:
