This event is part of the August 2018 Class, "Getting Started with 3D Modeling & Blender"
Digital sculpting is the more artistically intuitive method of 3D modeling. If pushing and pulling verts felt like the hard way of doing things, sculpting will be a welcomed alternative!
This stream collaborates with the Fundamentals of Digital Sculpting course. We’ll be discussing/demonstrating the pros and cons of digital sculpting as well as how it compares to mesh modeling. Again, practice makes perfect with any craft, so we will practice sculpting as well. Bring your questions and be sure to have your pen and tablet ready to practice with me!
Are some hotkeys in 2.8 changed from those in 2.7?
OH thanks, the spacebar toolbar seems useful for this
I prefer zbrush becaue the detail size and edge collpase/subdivide options aren't as intuitive for me.
The Spacebar toolbar menu is really nice in 2.8 for sculpting I find - puts the brush list right there at your cursor, so you don't have to reach across the screen and all that to switch brushes.
QUESTION how choose and mirror?
QUESTION: Do you think Zbrush is better than blender for sculpting ? :/
No worries, I will rewatch the video. I always watch each tutorial twice or three times, so to refresh my memory.
Hmmm the brush hotkeys seem to have changed :(
Still better than ZBrush interface IMO
