A seasonally appropriate project: Icicles. During this stream I will create an icicle render from scratch. The goal is realistic lighting and shading with a macro camera angle. Meaning up-close and strong depth of field.
Note that these images are photos and not a preview of the final render. But we'll be creating something along these lines.

Depending on how cold it is, possibly. But also keep in mind you're exhaling body temp air, so it won't immediately freeze.

Ive been using 1/2/3 for vert/edge/face for a few versions now. It was one of the first things I changed :) I think its a great default.
Nope but you wouldn't know anyways because all feeling in your nose disappears, like a magic trick.
