Four 1K textures are worse than one 2K texture!
I think cell-shading plus a gradient worked pretty well, but I'll wait for the grade ;)

interuse me too, but aparently alpha effects only hurt performance when they're really close to the camera.

beacuse it is a instant collection it caculate only the first group
[Q] I thought alpha and transparency might hurt performance more than more polygons
[Q] Is it really the poly-count that is leading performance? I think shaders along with the numbers of textures might play a bigger role?
[Q] Since you talked polycount and Retopology, could you mention that Retopoflow is free on Github?
