[Q] Thank you for these demonstrations they are very helpful. Would you be able to show us how to UV different objects into one UV map?
The normal map is the final bit of magic. It makes the light in the scene react to the texture as if the high and low places in the texture are really sticking in and out of the surface
which means you can bake in geometric angles into a texture.
[Q] Is it possible to paint in layers? So you can edit them afterwards?
Texturing is a difficult concept to grasp at first. I was very hard for me to understand.
the normal map specifies the direction light bounces when it hits the surface.
The "S" hotkey is great for color picking without having to go find the Eyedropper tool.
iironsoul - Not exactly. I guess I am wondering what the normal map does. I under the color and cavity.
@createtaiwan do you mean does lighting affect the normal map bake? No, it won't.
