rationalrats its a simple formula, but in most cases, the IOR is around 1.5 and that is about a Specular value of 0.5

and I remember I saw a way to make "realtime" sync of external app and blender viewport, but don't remember when or where
Hmm that is very old school texturing. I would say with PBR you leave the spec.
Specular is directly associated with the IOR
rationalrats Yes, that makes sense. My concern is that I have board duplicates in my fence that are upside down and I was wondering if the normal map would make it look weird or not.
