Sometimes to add thickness, you can simply extrude just the edges down a little.
change the computation to complex and even maybe on the solidify modifier?
I do agree with Spikes on this (below) that it's getting "too realistic" the way it's going... : P

amblender check the strength level of the brush. It could have accidentally been set to 0
censoring self on all the scrape brush "answers"... much much worse than camping dad jokes...
