Lol indeed I'm not looking forward to that, but yes we'll have to at least for introductory courses. Even though we pride ourselves on teaching timeless/software agnostic concepts and workflows, it doesn't change the disconnect that will inevitably happen when 2.8 comes out

I thought Pablo Vasquez said during Blender Today that the release in october would not be the official one, but I could be wrong.

The Beta should be released in mid-August; the first Release Candidate is anticipated to be released on October 20.

  • Aaron Rudderham(thecabbagedetective)

Does this mean you're gonna have to make new introductory courses just for 2.8? That'd suck.

  • Kent Trammell(theluthier)

I thougt the Alpha was released but the Beta was scheduled for october. Still no official release date for non beta AFAIK. Am i wrong though?

I got a thing from Blender Guru saying it'll be released Oct. 20th.

  • William Miller(williamatics)

How could you not be exited?

  • Jake Korosi(jakeblended)

It looks like it will take a little less adjusting-to than I thought. Mostly just learning how to use collections instead of layers, and learning where the buttons have been shuffled.

    Howdy Bauke!
