This event is part of the March 2018 Class, "Creating Stylized Characters with Blender".
To kick off the BC2-1803 class, we're analyzing stylization as a concept. What makes it different from reality? How can we train our brains to stylize what we see?
After all, stylization is as old as mankind: From Egyptian hieroglyphics to cave paintings, humanity has always expressed itself with a stylistic aesthetic. This stream is all about centering your inner style. We'll use caricature as an exercise in stylization.
Haha yeah trying to switch between blender, substance and photoshop in quick succession fries my brain
I find myself trying to Right Click select things in the Finder and Photoshop. Ha ha.
I say change left click to default, Blender pro users will know how to change it back
Though I think the whole debate and how often it's argued is kinda silly
If the devs ever give in and switch it to left click default, I'll have to switch it back to right click cause I love it too much now haha
The 3D cursor was definitely frustrating for me when I first opened Blender. Like right out of the gate it was a significant hoop to jump through
New people get very confused, I've seen that three times now, people get annoyed and give up too fast, they don't understand the 3D cursor and they click and they just change the 3D cursor position
Using the vertex color fill to swamp the object with color. That was neat.
Welcome mmalhomsi 👋
I think that is why it is called a "cursor"
