As far as art goes I feel there are no wrong answers.

    Lol, me too

Maybe we could carry on the debate in a forum thread? For now I want to focus on the live stream.

It's that there is no wrong answer.

  • William Miller(williamatics)

It just irks me that everybody thinks that just because there are many opinions there is no right answer.

Has somebody a guess about how many vertices these characters might have?

  • Juan Hernández(donchuan)

aah yeah, I see it now. Thanks for the answer

  • William Miller(williamatics)

If I were doing that, I'd probably simulate the clothes as cloth.

  • Jake Korosi(jakeblended)

Omar I don't think so. The question of "what counts as art" is one of those things where there are so many different opinions and everyone is resolutely convinced theirs is the right one. I mean that's like a centuries-old argument, and we're not gonna solve it with a livestream.....a livestream could only end with the conclusion "opinions will differ".

[Q] Hi Kent, do you have any tip on how would you pose a character that has so many layers? Having a basic rig probably wouldnt work as everything would intersect... or maybe fix everything for the pose?

Sven Juhlin is a gifted character artist who has been a personal inspiration my entire career. Discovering his work in college was both enlightening and motivating for me as an aspiring character artist.

Over the years, Sven has worked for some of the biggest names in the business, amassing a very impressive portfolio. In this stream I will be taking a deep dive into Sven's character work. Hopefully some of his magic will rub off on us.
