This stream is part of week 1 in the August 2019 Class: "Get Started Building Stuff with Blender 2.8"
The goal of week 1 is to get familiar with Blender 2.8 and model your chosen asset. If you're brand new to Blender it's very important that you spend time each day of this week getting comfortable with Blender's interface. Once you're comfortable, you will have a more enjoyable experience learning and practicing modeling.

dostovel ive got used to it, just in case theres anyone struggling to join in.
there is an alternative to not using the emulate numpad. so for non emulated numpad.
1,2,3 Numbers - will have the vert/edge and face selects in edit mode.
and the backtick brings up the pie menu to select the view directions that you wold normally get via the numpad.
