Creating Floating Damage Points in Unity

In this Unity course we’ll take a look at how to create RPG style damage points. Using the new UI system, we’ll animate and script UI text and images to display once a hit is registered on our character. Using colliders, tags and a raycast, we’ll be able to detect when we’ve hit a specific area of our character. Each area will have specific damage points that will show with a special “critical” image that will flash when we hit the head.
