I just want to say thank you for starting the recent CGCookie CGC Weekly series on your Youtube channel:
After having been away for a while, I just got back on the CGCookie forums again and was automatically notified by your preference system to watch the to take a look at this video "What in the World is a BSDF?" done by Grant Wilk
I really enjoyed Grant's very basic, very simple explanation about BSDF Shaders in Cycles.
WHY:
Blender is a pretty powerfull and also a rather complex piece of software, for any person who is just getting started with it. These type-of-videos help newcomers to simply understand
- What BSDF stands for
- What BSDF IS
- How BSDF does the trick (inside Blender Cycles)
This (little extra knowledge) can anyone to fully understand how stuff really works, so they can learn to apply it better into their own Blender project too.
