When I added a bounce sound effect to my ball animation, it all went OK at first -- audio strip appeared, I could cut it up into separate strips, etc. But when I tried to move these to the marker locations, they did not behave like the ones in your video. They kept snapping to the frames (leading edge of strip snapping precisely to frame), whereas you were able to position yours smoothly lining up the attack (audio envelope) inside the strip to the exact moment of ball bounce. I was working with my own blend file, not the DL'd course file, so I'm guessing there is some preference or option that by default snaps audio strips to frame positions. But even after googling around a bit I can't find it.
PS I agree the instructor talks really fast, but it is the 21st century and we do have pause and rewind :-) the only thing I would change about the presentation, on 2nd viewing: I wish that all the instructor's mouse clicks and keystrokes were displayed on screen as they are in some of the other videos in this series. it is not always possible to tell whether Chris said "control B" or "control V" for example, whereas the keystroke/mouse telltale would unambiguously record every single instructor action.
