Hi all,
I have made some progress on my truck and so far, pleased with the result.
Still some final detailing to do regarding the cabin. For the panelling I choose the procedural way of modelling them. Trying to work non-destructive for as long as I can with Mirror, Solidify, Bevel and SubD modifier (In that exact order).
Are there any procedural best practices? For example, the bevel modifier is below the Solidify modifier. Found out the hard way because SubD messed up the geometry in specifically the outside corners. I have tried to stack the modifiers in the order I would have done modelling myself which took me a decent amount of time to figure them out.
I am going to leave the cab for what it is right now, focussing on the wheels and other elements. One question, to what extent should I keep modelling this way? It is great to have a quick result, but I can imagine I will run into limitations when adding details in a later detailing stage.
Any other thoughts, advice, remarks or things you notice when looking at the model would be welcome.
