I started following this initial course on YouTube even before signing up for an account at CGCookie.com. Although I had completed the Donut tutorial before, I still found all the various parts and components quite overwhelming as a rookie just starting in Blender. This course did a fantastic job of deepening my understanding of how Blender is structured.
The challenge is, I’m afraid that if I hadn’t done the Donut tutorial first, I would have had a lot more trouble sitting through this one. With my Donut experience under my belt, I often found myself thinking, “Ah, that’s why!” Now, I’m deepening my knowledge on Rigging and will probably go through all the core series.
Overall, it’s a great introduction and really showcases the quality and depth that CG Cookie brings to the table!
