My take on a Ceratosaurus dentisulcatus. Sculpted in Blender, rendered with Cycles and a touch of post-processing with Photoshop. The copper shader was created by AnthonyP...

Well, I've done things in blender by box modelling, simulations, animation, motion capture and what not, but not with sculpting. This is my best shot at it so far: https://cgcookie.com/image/maori-carving/ I guess I am too much a product of the instant gratification culture to do it scale by scale. :-)
One scale at a time. ;) It's a funny thing, ask me to create/draw something like that in 2D and it would turn out pretty bad. I feel so handcuffed with traditional 2D where as sculpting is absolute freedom to me.
Always admired the Blender sculptors: personally, sculpting is my absolutely weakest point and it bends my mind how it is even possible to sculpt something like this in Blender.
For sure, the shader he created is wonderful.
Thanks Jonathan!
I think they held tails instead. ;)
yeah that's what I was meaning lol, like if it was on a shelf or something
Even with big teeth wouldn't they still want to hold hands by the river in the moonlight. ;)
When I was looking at the thumbnail I couldn't tell at first if this was a digital or clay sculpt. Awesome job!
Good answer
