I wanted to try and model and animate something mechanical that was relatively simple - so I decided a beam engine would be a pretty fun project. I haven't done any animations before so it was a bit trikier than I first thought, but I'm pretty pleased with how it came out. I'd love to hear any feedback or critique!
ttimhanuk If I remember correctly each angle was a loop of 48 frames which took my computer about 8 hours to process overnight. In total around 32 hours
The animation is so smooth! How long did it take to render?
Being myself and engineer, i love this kind of renders... :)
The old machinery has some sort of poetry and You displayed it in its full glory.
oboshape Thanks alot for the comments Darren, I really appreciate it :-)
amazing work, love it..
theres soo much in there to praise, from the texturing, detail, delicate DOF, mechanical feel and the smooth and authentic animation..
really sweet work!
Oh my sweet machinery. Wish I could heart this twice. 🤩
@jlampel Thanks Jonathan for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
thecabbagedetective Thanks so much for the comment Aaron!
Your last project, the telescope, was a pretty big jump in quality for you, but this one blows that out of the water. Fantastic work!
