Hey everyone!
When CG Cookie first started we loved to host Pumpkin and Snowman contests. It was cool to see what everyone created with these given constraints. Of course using Blender was a pretty rad thing as well.
My favorite was the nod to the movie Aliens done in a pumpkin render. If somebody could find this, it would be cool to see again!
I missed them so much, this year we've decided to revisit the past, with the launch of our brand new Epic Pumpkin Contest!
While nearly all the information and activity takes place on the Contest itself, I thought it would be beneficial to have an area for questions and general OMG this is amazing type comments. Plus we're a tad rusty on hosting contests. 🧐
In all seriousness, this is one of favorites and excited to see what you come up with this year. We've got a ton of awesome awards lined up for you and even some random chances to win by simply sharing your work on Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #MyCookiePumpkin

ssmurfmier1985 Agreed, that is a little strange. But you've nailed it. It appears it's building off of previous contests. That specific entry though will need to be removed. It is submitting a previous piece of work that was created prior to the contest start. Easy thing to do. Have a rocking week!
@wesburke wow they are amazing. That last one is the one that impresses me the most
@wesburke Ha ha, they took it literally, they have a rancor running from it. I was actually thinking about making Luke Skywalker, but read the rest of it and realized the goal wasn't just to scare a rancor lol.

@wesburke There was me thinking I actually had a shot at winning, but DAMN. In all seriousness though those are utterly fantastic, especially the last two. Hits me right in the motivation.
thecabbagedetective ya somehow I understand that feeling trough I had it from the start. I already had a feeling the difference would be high xd but still I want to show what I learned in these 2 classes

ssmurfmier1985 same goes for me winning is always fun but this is a great chance to show what I learned in these 3 months. By the end of the contest I should know even more about shading and rendering.

yyukinoh1989 Yeah it's today, my 20th. I'll certainly do my best but the call to Blender is never ending lol, but ta very much! I'll have a look at your progress when today's class is over.

indeed i also have a problem putting blender aside for a moment. that is why i decided to get back the book i got from my grandfather that sadly almost passed away for one year and gonna read that again since i never finished it . that way i might also give my brain some slight rest :)
