All that said, one thing at a time. Get the food truck modeled, and rigged. This thing's roof lifts, lots of flaps fold out. . .
Get that animation working, with something in the interior of the truck.
Maybe add a chef - I kinda like the idea of a Japanese version of the Swedish chef where the calamari ends up capturing the chef with four arms, sharpening a butcher knife with two arms, and drives off with the other two arms.
But it's entirely possible that I just get the truck and the opening animation and none of the rest is implemented.
There are always things to correct as one goes on.
Now that I have the wheels in place it appears my food truck has taken a small jump, like Herbie from all the Disney VW Bug moves.
That front end needs to come down some, and I need to slightly adjust the Z-position of the truck for the whole animation.

This is still really early, but I'm hoping others will join me in creating their food trucks for BlenderCon Austin.

The front of this thing is the trickiest - it has all sorts of rounded corners.
Maybe I'll use tread: https://cgcookie.com/courses/tread-hard-surface-asset-creation-for-video-games for the tires.
